Cloud Atlas– by David Mitchell

Spent the weekend reading this fascinating and imaginatively written book. Not a racy potboiler this. And no cliffhanger suspense either. Somewhere along its slow yet imaginative narrative, it will push you to see life and connections in a much more profound way. I gather their is a movie based on the book. While the order gets processed, here are some of the interesting quotes I picked up randomly-

“Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.”

“To fool a judge, feign fascination, but to bamboozle the whole court, feign boredom.”

“If people praise you, you’re not walking your own path.“

If the above disclaimers doesn’t bother you and if you connect remotely with the above quotes, do pick up it up…For he also says "A half-read book is a half-finished love affair.”
