Facebook fails the ‘Exam’ Test
This is one Research Result that confirms my fears. According to this study, Students who use Facebook while studying for exams score significantly lower grades than those who do not. As a parent of a child who is just about discovering the internet, my paternal sense is tingling. If managing TV and Games time was not enough, we now have to grapple with internet and mobile habits of children.
I am only hoping like what humanity has done for ages, children would grow up to be much wiser and smarter despite all the apprehensions and worries of their parents to the contrary. Perhaps the human genetic code will rewire itself to cope and manage the digital overload which looks so daunting (to me at least) as of now.
